Michael Tanko Grand and White Collar Poet
It seems to me that there is still room for the heroic portrait. This is my nephew Michael Tanko Grand in full Charlton Heston/Moses/Jesus mode. Touch him and you are healed.
Mike is an incredible film maker - his latest online serial is based in Vancouver. It is called White Collar Poet and is based around Richard Scribe, an insurance broker turned poet. The first episode is called Epiphany and is out now. Check it out here.
It seems that film has been doing the online serial thing for a while. Photography lags behind. Tony Fouhse intended to do one with Live Through this (his work with Stephanie) - but I don't think it quite worked out that way because events got ahead of him - in a good way I feel.
Is anyone else doing anything episodic and online with photography - something with a narrative that goes beyond the portrait a day kind of thing. Something photo-novelish, Love on the Left Bank style? If so, do let me know.
