Dogs Playing Poker

From kittens to dogs, dogs playing poker, more of which here with Cassius Coolidge Gallery of Dogs Playing Poker.

Which reminds me of Tom Lubbock on Caravaggio's Cardsharps.

Tom Lubbock used to write for the Independent, but sadly died late last year. I always enjoyed his writings for their clarity. You can find all his commentaries here: Tom Lubbock.

Photographers who shoot dogs playing cards? Not enough!

Thanks for the link to Tom Lubbock's writing. His last (I imagine) text about his dying, with everything rapidly narrowing down - or opening up - to the bare essentials, is very powerful and very "visual", in the sense that it generates new images of reality where there were none before. I'm not sure why, but it makes me think of "success" .
